The eerie cover and title of Charlotte Carrie Ryan's newest book The Dark and Hollow Places-- sequel to her debut novel The Forest of Hands and Teeth and its sequel The Dead-tossed Waves-- more than lives up those of the other books in her Forest of Hands and Teeth series.  If you haven't read Carrie Ryan's other novels, then I'll give you a very quick synopsis: Post-Apocalyptic. Zombies.  (AKA Mudos or the Unconsecrated)  This series explores uncharted territories in the zombie-verse, and is full of the kind of strong heroines, constant peril, and romance that we all adore... So, if you haven't read the first two books in this series yet, then go buy them immediately!  After reading Carrie Ryan's amazing short story 'Bougainvillea' in the awesome anthology Zombies vs Unicorns, I'm more excited than ever to return to her fascinating world of endless wilderness and relentless zombies.
