Friday Following & Blog Hopping (#25)

Happy Friday!!!  Hello to everyone stopping by my blog via Follow Friday (hosted by paranormal queen Parajunkee).  I'd also like to welcome any of my old followers just dropping in to say hi. :)  It's the first Friday of summer vacation, so I'm really looking forward to doing a lot of blog hopping-- leave me your links, and I'll be sure to return the visit!

This week's featured blogger over at FF is:  Nicki J Markus.

And the question is:
The magic book fairy pops out of your cereal box and says: "You and your favorite character (from a book, of course) can switch places!"  Who are you going to switch with?

My answer:  Wouldn't it be wacked if magic book fairies dwelled in cereal boxes?  I'd be searching in libraries, if anywhere-- I actually have this Amy Brown painting on my wall of a book fairy.  She's so cute. :)

But, ANYWAY, rambling aside, I'd have to go with Hermione Granger from the Harry Potter series.  She's one of my favorite fictional characters: a brilliant girl, a fantastic witch, and a great friend, even if she does have to face evil and even torture, at the hands of Bellatrix Lestrange, in the war against Voldemort.  And she gets to attend Hogwarts for six years... I'd kill to attend Hogwarts, though I think I'd be sorted into Ravenclaw.  This week's question is so broad and fun, so of course I'd love to hear you guys's answers.

    Hey, how about that? I was trying to choose between Hermione and Bella Swan! If I hadn't chosen Bella, it would have been Hermione for sure! I agree with you 100% -- she's a brilliant girl! In the end, though, Edward melted me to the point that I had to choose Bella as the character I would most love to switch with!

    So I think Hermione is a GREAT choice!!

    Another possibility was Jane Eyre. And her love interest is also named "Edward"...sigh...

    Gosh, I really should have gone with Hermion, though! I consider myself a feminist, after all.

    Have a SUPER DUPER weekend! (Just don't exhaust yourself waving your wand around too much, now! Lol.)

    Hermione is my absolute favorite character in Harry Potter but I chose Tessa from Infernal Devices instead. Everyone seems to be choosing Hermione. New follower.

    @Bookish Brunette-- Really? Everyone is choosing Hermione? I haven't done any hopping yet, so I didn't know I was so unoriginal! Well, it's easy to see why, I guess-- Hermione is the very embodiment of awesome!

    Yes! I chose Hermione too! Awesome choice! :)

    I love her and I love HP, so I would switch places with just about any character, just to be able to go to Hogwarts and visit Hogsmeade.

    Hopping through. I went with Hermione too. I forgot about the danger with Bellatrix. That was horrible. Generally though she gets to see the action but not face as much danger.

    I didn't participate in FF this week, but scrolling through your comments makes me smile that nearly everyone picked Hermione! I'd totally choose her aswell! For every single reason you listed (although yeah, maybe I'd skip the Bella-torture scene) and hey, even her muggle life has perks. Free dental! ;)

    I am going to whisper this in fear of being lynched by the mob.. *I haven't read Harry Potter yet!*

    I know I know... I DO plan on it. I have read the first two actually, but not the others, so I will be reading the entire series shortly. Bad bad Mel. lol Hermoine is a good choice though!

    Anyways, I like Hermione, but I personally would choose Storm Langston. :) I know that's cheating, but being an Endowment Shifter Ashurn would be AWSOME.

    I picked Hermione for exactly the same reasons you did! She's a great friend, intelligent, and she kicks butt! Definitely a great choice! I think my follower widget is working now because I know you and a lot of people were having trouble following me before. Already a follower and I love your blog! Great pick! ;)
