In My Mailbox #24

In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at the Story Siren and inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie.  The idea behind IMM is not only to put new books on our radars but to encourage blogger interaction.  IMM explores the weekly contents of our mailboxes: books bought, received, won, and borrowed, along with other goodies and swag.

I wasn't going to buy any books this week!  I swear, I wasn't.  Only... books sort of find their way to me, no matter how ridiculously high my TBR pile is.  From what I read and watch on you guys' IMMs, it's definitely not a unique problem among book bloggers.  And, oh well, there are far worse addictions, right?  Anyway, I'm really excited to read Game of Thrones and The Iron Knight!

Here's what I got:
E-Galleys:

Bought:

-- Graffiti Moon by Cath Crowley
--The Iron Knight by Julie Kagawa
--Wanderlove by Kirstin Hubbard
-- Misfit by Jon Skovron
--Game of Thrones by George RR Martin
-- Waterfall by Lisa T Bergen

UPDATE: The best new addition to my Mailbox (or rather my bedroom)-- a brand-new shelf, cast-off courtesy of my mom's classroom!  YAY!

Thanks to:
-- Harlequin Teen
- Knopf Books
-- Delacorte Books
-- NetGalley
-- my mom

  13. Thanks for the birthday wishes! You got a lot of great books this week. I want to read Game of Thrones but it is such a long book that I'm afraid I wouldn't like it.

I know what you mean about the Zero/Kaname thing. I just have an attachment to Zero because he was the first guy we saw. I'm only beginning to learn more about Kaname since I'm on volume 6 right now. Go Zero! :)

  16. @Melissa-- I've been wanting to read Game of Thrones for FOREVER! Two of the bookstores I visited had actually sold out of copies, actually... it's suddenly very popular thanks to the HBO series.

@Alexa-- We do get to learn more about Kaname-- a lot of *interesting* things, some good and some very much not so. There are various reasons why I don't like him, but I won't spoil anything by saying more. Hope you enjoy the next few volumes (and have fun making up what happens in volume 8.) ;)

  17. @Nic-- Your review of Graffiti Moon is what made me remember the title and request it. Love that so many Aussie YA books are being published in the US... now we US bloggers get to read some of the books you guys are always talking about! :)
