In My Mailbox is a weekly meme hosted by Kristi at the Story Siren and inspired by Alea of Pop Culture Junkie. The idea behind IMM is not only to put new books on our radars but to encourage blogger interaction. IMM explores the weekly contents of our mailboxes: books bought, received, won, and borrowed, along with other goodies and swag.

The Rapture of Canaan is on my to-read list; I'd like to hear later how you like it.

I had to read The Kite Runner for my English lit course, it's fanastic!
Ooh, you grabbed some really cool books this week! I'm kind of ashamed that I STILL haven't started the Leviathan series. I've heard such great things about it.
Happy reading! :)
I like the books that you borrowed from the library. I've had Like Water for Chocolate for a long time (I've also watched the film), but I haven't gotten around to reading the book yet. I also bought Esquivel's Malinche - and it seems promising, but again... too many books, too little time. =(
I've also read Kite Runner (and seen the film too) by Khaled Hosseini - I would recommend that you also read A Thousand Splendid Suns by Hosseini - really great. If you're in a Middle East fix, I'd also recommend the semi-autobiographical novel of Azar Nafisi: "Reading Lolita in Tehran" - really riveting.
Enjoy your loot!
